Fred, when you put blowers on this boat it becomes a diff. animal! It's performance capabilities really shine over 75 mph. But you have to run it before you install blowers, then you will know what I am talking about.

Hey guys whats up. Still dialing it in...we did go back to the XR drives...(the great sportmaster experiment is over) and ran 84GPS with 30P stock props. Gonna try some different set-ups on custom labs and see what we get. Still to much slip % but I think we can nail it this time. We aren't getting the boost we'd like due to the humidity either but we feel confident we have several more MPH's to go yet with a totally stock set-up. ( With a pulley change and a superchiller set-up this thing would be awesome). Yeah I might have gotten a little carried away on this one hence the hefty sticker, but what the hell, it's all for the fun of it isn't it?
Fred, blowers will definitely spice up the boat...as good as you have it looking now you should go ahead and crank that baby! That 31 hull really handles at high speed and will cut the water very crisply. I think you would be very happy.
Birdog, dude that is a fine looking Cig! There was a 38 TG out last night running some major 1000HP plus motors. We'll have to hook up and play some time once I'm dialed in. You doing the Lake C PR?
Go4broke, come on down big boy and we can play. Ya' know your always welcome (remember to bring that gas card
).

Dano,
Last season 1990 30SS with stock 502s with prochargers, probably close to 550 hp + ran it's best @ 94 mph. This was in the spring. Later in the season with heat and humidity the best I could get was 85 mph.
This yr. I had the motors balanced and blueprinted, heads ported and polished, and a comp. valve job. Best we did in July (when I finally got it back) with 4 men, full fuel, and flat water was 93 mph. I'm thinking alone, low fuel and some decent chop I might get high 90's.
The 2003 you have is absolutely beautiful!!! I think the price is high, but definately not from lack of quality, performance, etc. etc.
Good luck
