What year did Jay Ross sell to Richard Hewitt

2003-ish.
386 and 31 hulls only got the first few treatments, then on to the rest of the molds for those models, and then the entire line.
Over the years, there have been a couple of 31 Sonics that have had bad gelcoat problems; all from that era. Pay close attention on any 02/03/04 models. They are not junk, but do your homework and full hull survey with a quality surveyor that knows their $hit on anything from that era.
Good luck Audra.

I started looking in late 2004. They were just starting on the 31 at that time.
I remember seeing the deck layout. As far as I know they never did the arch.
I believe CSI took over in late 2005, and they moved to Sturart
My 31 is a 2006 and was made in Stuart. I don't believe
they made many Sonics after I got mine. Now they are in Ft Pierce.

I know Richard had it in 03 and they were doing some vacuum infused hulls at the time. I stopped in one day in 03 and got a tour of the factory by Richard himself. At the time I didn't know who he was after the tour and I read his card. I will say after that tour if I was in the market for a new boat i would have bought one from him.
