I have a 91 Powerplay 33 Sport Deck for sale. I want to go smaller and a 26 Sonic Prowler is going to be my next boat. Anyone up in the northeast have a 26 Sonic that would be interested in some sort of swap. Pictures of my boat are in the OSO classifieds

I have tried to contact owner of boat in Boston CL, but haven't heard back. I'am trying to keep my search within 300 mile of Lake George NY for now. There was one for sale in northern NJ back in December that's not listed any more. Anyone any info on it.

Excellent condition 2004 Sonic Prowler 26 w/ 496 HO 425 HP. Clean one owner, 100% fresh water boat w/ 200 hours. Bravo 1X outdrive. 4 blade 24p labbed by Teague Custom Marine w/ spare 4 blade 22p. Rex Marine drive shower. Custom engine cowl, color matched w/ Sonic logo etched made by Boat Bling.. Twin tabs w/ indicators, Trim on throttle, Full instrumentation w/Depth finder. Cockpit cover w/ zipper entry and full mooring cover. 2 sinks: one in galley, one in enclosed head w/ shower, and 20 gal pressurized water. Sony Explode CD stereo. Ameritrail dual axle aluminum trailer. New Goodyear marathon tires. New dual batteries enclosed in Blue Billet Battery Boxes. New impeller and pump approx. 30 hours ago. Currently in heated winter storage. Never kept in water, pulled from water after every use and cleaned. You won’t be disappointed.

Thanks for info on Boston Sonic. I have been in contact with owner before I left for Fla. The boat was shrink wrapped so I didn't go see it before I left because I wouldn't be able to get inside. I just got back this week and went to see one out near Syracuse the other day. I am trying to put a run together out to Boston as there is another boat I got a call about out that way. I would like to see them both in one trip. I am not having very good luck as my idea of a clean boat is not the same as the owners of the boats I have gone to see. I don't mind paying, but don't ask top dollar for boats that need bellows job, gimbal bearing is bad and the drive is going to need a yoke, bad steering pins, moldy interior, seats that the stiching is all pooping, sun pads hard as a rock. Trailer is rotten and welded together. I have travel many miles to look at boats this winter.

This seems to be a scam https://easternshore.craigslist.org/boa/5504617796.html. I saw it in north Jersey CL back in Dec. but got no replies. While I was in Fla. it was in south Fla. CL tried to contact lister, but no replies. Now it's listed in Eastern Shore MD/DL.

im not sure what is up but I can tell you that the boat I saw in the boston post was nice. my sonic is docked across from it. maybe someone is using his post as well.

I haven't gone to the one in Boston, hope to head out there his week. I see the boat I mention in above post on eastern shore CL as been removed overnight.

Ok I seen two in Syracuse wasn't sure which one you looked at. I hate looking at "well kept boats" that need a bunch of stuff. Either owner is in denial or they just plain don't know.

Hi, I do not know this boat, however the specs they are listing are far from accurate. The 496HO is only rated at 425HP and with a naturally aspirated configuration, the 26 comes no where's near 70MPH at top end. Propped right she'll do 64MPH. I had an 04' with the same power plant and had a labbed 24P 4 blade and would hit 64 no sweat. Had her 64.2 on GPS last year. Hope that helps. Good luck in your search.

Did you sell yours? If so what did you get to replace it? I'd need to sell my current boat first (Scarab scs w502mag) before seriously considering upgrading. Got a couple question for you though. Are the graphics in the gelcoat? If so I guess you'd have to have it professionally painted to change the look. Also, where are the fresh water and wast holding tanks located? I'd really like to have a pump out head and curious if one could be added if its just got the porta potty.

Hi, yup. Sold. The guy who bought it 3 weeks ago is grinning from ear to ear as it was all I said it was and more to all those non-believers. Going up to a 358 picking it up this weekend. Graphics are in the GC. Fresh water is on the port side/ 20 gals and waste is on Starboard side. In mine it could be added as the void and plumbing is all there... Would just have to have someone that knows what they are doing to hook it up I suppose. But that was my boat. Can't speak for others.

Hey thanks for the info and congrats on the new boat. Says a lot about Sonic that you're sticking with the brand. If I sell my Scarab and really start looking I may be PMing you with some questions if you don't mind.

Yeah, thanks! Can't beat the room in the cudy cabin on the Sonics in any of the size classes. We love to boat camp. There's no other in the 26 class that has a separate head and can sleep 3 and take a shower like the Prowler! It's all what your needs are for boating. You can pm me anytime. Glad to help.

Txpilot83, best time to list it is now! Boats are moving now that if is the start of the new season. If you are serious, dont procrastinate. All the good ones go quick!

OK I back in the search again. Had some surgery and have been out of commission. Still looking for a 26 Sonic. Please don't waste my time and yours, I am not interested in any boats that owner doesn't have proper paper work or the lien is so high that we can't go to bank and leave with title clearance.

If you have Facebook someone just listed one on "power boat swap shop." 2000 26 prowler, XR drive, 600hp 509, etc.... asking $36,500. Says only 8hrs on engine. Located in NY.

That is strange to be selling so quick....When you went and looked at it, what did you think? Personally I'd want one with Merc power (502mag, 469, etc..) for ease of finding parts and someone to work on it if I had a problem I couldn't figure out on my own. Or one without power/good price and re-power it with a new 520, ITS, and Bravo XR. I'm guessing that would cost about 40K to re-poower with that setup though....

Still looking, found a Prowler I like in western NY, but over my budget. I have seen must of the Prowlers up north that are for sale but haven't found one that I like. Now considering 27 Fountain's so posted in Fountain section.

27/29 Fountain used to be my dream boat. Then I started reading about Fountains having wood rot problems in the transom and stringers. Have you looked at any Active Thunder 25 or 28/29s? I believe after 98 they were all composite. I think all the 28/29s have a fully enclosed head but the 25s don't even have a portapotty. Don't think there are any posted for sale but if you ask around in the Active Thunder forum on here you may get lucky. If/when I ever sell my Scarab and buy another performance boat I've narrowed it down to Sonic 26, AT 25, or AT 28/29.

Just something to keep in mind and look out for since you're looking at Fountains.

If you are interested There a 25 AT for sale in NC and a 28 AT for sale in CT. The one in CT Is clean I've seen the boat. 28 is out for me as I just sold my 33 to down size. Any Fountain I look at ill be checking the spots that I know they were prone to leak water in transom.

Still looking for a clean 26 Sonic or 27 Fountain in the northeast
