I need pics of a 31ss with external steering anyone have one????do the rams mount on the inside of the drives or outside??

does it matter???it looks as if you can mount them either eay in or outside....I didnt think I would have room going to the outside..

CelticPride, Why the dual tie bar?

Has anyone mounted rams on the "fins" that extend the sides of the hull, and supprt they swim platform? If you look in them, they are solid and beefy, and empty. Looks like a cleaner/easier/stronger install than the transom mount, especially with twins on a 31.
Not a prayer... just a thought.:D :D

the lower tie bar is the one that came stock from Sonic. The upper one came with the steering kit. I figured I would just leave the stock one on.

tomba29, you should get a tie bar that attaches near the rams, or you may damage your drives. See CelticPrides pictures.

This system has only been on for a week or so...its still a work in progress......the lower one is the one that the boat came with...I have one that came with the kit but haven't gotten around to putting it on yet.
