Yup....the mph number sounds realistic for the HP no doubt. The issue has been in getting everything to "add up" so I'm sure everyone understands the confusion. Originally the question was...what will it take to get to 80+. Props will no doubt be the biggest bang for the buck but it "ain't gonna be enough..." we be needin' mo' power cap'n...

Then of course once ya get 80...then it's 90, then 100 etc etc, man don't ya' love this stuff!

hp really is not the issue...our engines say 525 on top with a 38 foot boat...i'll just say the #'s are in the 90's....my parrents run a 38 with 900sc's (so the engine builder says) and have never seen over mid to upper 80's...we'll get ya hooked up this spring...we should have a massive amount of props on hand to get ya base lined.

i guess i would not have to if they did add up....and how do you think a conversation with a custom prop shop would go???...they are going to tell you the same damn thing!...i have offered help,,,but i think i'll just leave that to you....

That was a pretty sweet offer on the prop gig. I spent a bloody fortune on props trying to tweak. Tis true without MPH/RPM kinda' tough to lab a pair...

Dano, I have a friend that went through the prop game a few years back with a 42 Eagle. I think he was dealing with Hydromotive (Dyno, is that who Jack used?). He spent a bunch of money but they really worked with him to find a setup he was happy with. Took him just about a full season though.

How do you think I felt when you jump on me telling me how my numbers just dont add up like I'm a total idiot?????I got two things to go by a GPS and a Tach.......If the numbers dont add up I cant help that I'm not bull****ting you to look like my boat is faster than it is.....I realize that your an engineer and think like one and thats how you looked at my post and gave me the best advice you could given the info I gave you,but sometimes your delivery sucks, I know its not intentional but you have a tendency to talk down to people and thats why Crazy took a shot at you. He's a good friend, dont hold it against him if he sticks up for me. He was there ,rode in the boat before and after the mods gps in hand if the numbers dont jive oh well! we'll keep trying, and I respect and appreciate your advice.
