Default New headliner

ok, so I bought my boat with the headliner completely gone. I had an upholstery guy come in and do a headliner. After 2 attempts at using foam backed vinyl he gave up and talked me into using hull liner. It came out pretty good except I'm not liking how above the sink looks. Does anybody have a picture of their cabin above the sink so I can figure out how to make it look a little better? Like I said this boat had no headliner in it. So I don't know what it looked like before. I don't know if there is something missing. I do have extra material. Thanks guys.

Just wrapped up the headliner in my 38. Nightmare. I wouldn't use the foam attached to vinyl for this application. If you stick it somewhere, it's there. If you try to move it you will ruin the whole piece. Also difficult to get it stretched tightly and ensure you have no ripples or wrinkles. Separate foam and vinyl is the way to go here. I'm currently trying to come up with a trim solution for the top area instead of a bead of silicone. Open to suggestions....

Seems like they did them a little different on some boats. I see you don't have the trim piece above the switches. We were out in the boat today and I just took off that curved piece. Looks much better. Not as clean as yours though. Thanks for the pic. Another question, where is the sink pump located? I hit the switch and nothing happens.

the pump is in the engine compartment, passengers side, tucked in the gunnel.

For some reason it seems like there all alittle different. I've never seen another prowler run like mine. Don't know if the x - demention is different on mine than other's. This was the best option I put in my boat I think.

Table.

Thats funny, the wife and I were just saying how it would be nice to have a table in there. Where did you get that? Does it have the removable base? And, your boat runs different than others because you have 850 plus HP! Lol But in seriousness, what do you mean by runs different? Mine does have the port lean, so I drop a little port tab. Mine does porpoise. Again drop tabs and trim drive in. I have the Bennett 12x12 sport tabs. Was thinking of going bigger. But then I was reading the post about Tanks cigarette with the max machine worx cavitation plates. I called them up and ordered one. I'll let you guys know how it works when I get it and install it. Waveyrd, I know what you mean about not wanting to use silicone. I have to figure out the gap also. I can't use silicone since I didn't use the foam vinyl. So I was thinking of using some foam and covering it with the fabric and filling in the gap. My wife says I'm being way to anal. That it looks fine.

the table was on the options list when we ordered the boat, the table and pole are removeable and the base is attached to the floor. it's nice on a hot day so you can go in the cuddy and eat your lunch. i see guys with 700 hp and there only running in the low 70's. yes i have more HP but it shouldn't be a 10 plus MPH difference. around alot of my cabin area they used the white bathroom caulk to fill the gaps in and really makes it look alot cleaner. if i run 60 MPH i don't need to use any tab, it rides real nice and smooth. so i guess your just going to have to add more HP and forget about buying bigger tabs, lol. i think to why my headliner is tight and good is when i'm not using my boat it sits in the garage, never been in the water overnight, if i'm going to use it both days on the weekend i'll leave it out over night, other wise i take my pontoon boat out with the dogs.

Where I boat is in the inland waterway. Its too crowded to run fast. So I spend most of my time at cruise speed. Around 45mph at 3600 rpms. I have to drag the tabs and tuck the drive if its calm, to stop the porpoise. When running wot tabs up drive out no porpoise I hit 70.3 on GPS at 5300. I'm running an hp 500 with a stock 24 pitch bravo 1. It shows 76 on my happy speedo. Now, where I used to boat on the eastern end of Long Island in Peconic Bay. You could run. Now back to your table. I found a bunch online. Do you have a flush base, or the kind that sticks up a bit. I ask because to mount the flush you have to drill a hole for the pole to drop down. I don't think there is anything under the floor there. But don't know if I want to drill a 2.5 inch hole in the floor.

the base just sit's on top of the floor and then you put the screws in it, i know what type your talking about, the do them on pontoon boats. just get the base that sits on top. we go on the Hudson river from albany to the city. your boat runs good. mine if i trim it out you have to watch the water, there's not much of the boat in the water.
