Finally started to look at used Sonics

Was bored yesterday and went out to see the following 41SS:

Wow, what a big solid boat. Cockpit was pretty dirty. No cover, so owner used a blue tarp to cover the cockpit. There's snow on the front and water has leaked into the cabin area. There is water condensation on the ceiling of cabin and there is mildew now. Engines, compartment and bilges are clean. Man, what big friggin' engines. Stern drives and tabs look to be in great shape. Myco trailer was in good shape. One tire was flat. Has the offshore water intakes. Someone needs to explain that one to me. I don't know how the normal way works.
The owner (Charlie) is a nice guy. Said he would detail boat before giving over to new owner. Will sea trial boat anytime you want.
It's a little out of my price range, but definitely looks like a good deal. Down side is no generator and no AC. Wish I could get him down to $70K, but don't want to insult him.
Hoping to make it out to Offshore Performance soon.

Hey Dyno, you talkin' about the 35 for sale by 'bn'? If so, I would really like to see that one. Unfortunately, it's gunna be tough for me to do so. I believe it's in upstate NY.
I'm on a restricted driver's license until June, so must rely on girlie friend and boat pals for rides
Can't wait to get all my finances in line and go nuts looking around

BN's boat is very nice,I've seen it and driven it. Drives nice and runs strong. Trailer is like new, its an eagle I think. It would be worth the trip if you're seriouse.

There is an older 1988 41SE that was over at Offshore Performance. Owner spent a lot of money redoing the paint and engine room this past year. Low hours and shows real nice. Low price also but no trailer. Boat was traded in recently but has not been moved. Might be able to catch it before it leaves town. Has every option that Sonic has ever offered. Let me know if you are interested and I can direct you to where it is.

Actually the boat is over on the Eastern Shore about a block away from Offshore Performance at A&W Marine. It was traded in to National Marine about a month ago but has not been picked up yet. Last I heard it was going for $65K but worth every dollar.
If you are interested I can help get you more info and pictures. I think the boat is to be moved this week so let me know.

I have been honest. I never owned the boat and it HAS been traded in. I just know the person who owned it and am trying to help move it on to another owner. I also am the one who put the time, money and effort into making the boat better than it was when it was taken to Offshore a year ago. And by the way how are you??
