No Sorry's needed just a little fun humor. My boys are 10 and 12 I understand completely. She sounds great :) My 10 year old loves to boat and my 12 year old would rather be programing a comp. or GPS or anything electronic.:D Hopefully we can all get together on the water maybe they can entertain each other.

sounds good, bring your 12 year old over, I got a garmin 215 and a whole room full of computers I can't figure out.

Leesylvania is only a 30-45 minute or so cruise to the 301 Bridge. I have not made the trip all the way to Solomon's, and around the point, but I know several people have. Mark House in his 37AVH went with a few other boats, including a 25 Outlaw, all the way to VA Beach and the Outer Banks for a long weekend, so I bet you can make the trip no sweat. The trip north all the way to Georgetown, including the no wake in Old Town is about another 30-45 minute cruise past Woodbridge; depending on how fast you cruise. BTW, Georgetown is nice for the novelty of doing it once. I do not care for it their to much, although, I do it once in a while. There are a lot of drunks and idiot boaters north of Old Towne Alexandria. I have been hit twice in 30 minutes, while tied to the dock in GT. Once by a crappy 16 foot Bayliner, and once by a 40 foot Sea Ray cruiser. Bunch of flipping idiots. I would rather spend time in Old Towne Alexandria, or either Tim's Riviershore Restaurants; as well as Mattawoman Creek, across from Leesylvania. (Mattawoman actually leads up into Waldorf, MD). |
You might also want to consider Smallwood State Park. If you decide to do the Potomac. It is in Charles County Maryland on the Mattowoman Creek. We used to put the 45 in at there ramps with no problems. It would also eliminate alot of nasty traffic.

some dude just drove by my house in a cruiser!!! like a 26-28 footer. It's snowing like hell and 29deg. out side
|
And he didn't even slow down for the no wake sign.
|
LOL, wackos.

At least he has the kahuna's to be out on the water.........
Thanks for the info Brian. Wanted to do the DC run last year but the boat was down. Maybe this year. Kinda concerned about the water around DC. Have heard alot of junk in the water....... floating & submerged. Plus I have heard of the horror stories of the idiots around there. Had a friend go down there a couple of years ago..... some guy ran into him, his bow pulpit and anchor ripped the rear seat out of boat when he backed up ! What a mess........... |
Sydwayz, I may have to use that one for wallpaper untill I get one of my own, hopefully the wifey won't be onboard at the time.
That is a once in a lifetime pic(unless your a racer) I hope you have it blown up and hanging on the wall. |
In early spring there is crap in the water but that is the case in most places, as far as the dumb asses I have never had a problem but I wouldn't hang around the launch ramp thats where they seem to run into you.10 years on the river and last year I bent my first prop, I don't think thats to bad.I have boated at a lot of places and really like the Potomac, but I know a lot of the people so it's easy to raft up and get a party going.Plus I live here.
