Thats the boat. I put a down payment on it and wanted to know how well it was taken care of in the past. As far as maintenance, storage , winterizing, etc. It looked good except some normal wear and tear that OP will take care of. Anything else???

I looked at it to buy it also and passed, the three things you are asking about I dont know but when looked at it and talked to Harry and other people I got the feeling it had been run real hard. The guy who owned it and his brother bought two of them from Jay and beat him up on it real bad on the price, they never missed a poker run and liked to run up front all day. When I last saw the boat the paint was in bad shape it looked like the guy never used a fender ever, the left skeg had been ripped off and welded back on by a blind guy.Harry told me he was getting all that fixed and I am sure he will he's a good guy I might have made an offer on it if it had a/c gen. One thing I would want to see is the hours out of the computer not the ones on the dash.

When I went to see the boat Harry told me everything that you mentioned. I know two brothers-in-law owned the boats and let there kids use them. I questioned the hour meters and Harry admitted that they were off. I will have him pull the hours out of the computer. He gave me a good price on the boat and promised to repair all the cosmetic damage. The only thing that really bothered me was the skeg damage. I have known other people that have had them welded back on with no problems. Thanks for the info.

The brothers traded them for Cigs. One of the Sonics had messed up ECU's, that need to be replaced. I beleive the boat had 575's. Saw the boat up close while my 42 was being worked on by them. Talked with several of the guys about the boats. If the ECU get replaced, you will not get hours........

I thought the boats were 35's ?

My dealings with OP, they have been honest, slow..... but fixed what ever they ever told me they would & what I wanted. Harry & Bill Proctor are honest, upfront, no BS guys. But the choice is ultimately yours.......

I lnow the guy who got the other one the,I havn't see it in person yet but I heard it wasn't as nice as Onfire but they have a 5 year aftermarket warr. so as long as it cover's the motors you should be ok. I wanted to put chillers and smaller pully's on it, Harry said he woudn't say anything if I didn't.

I spoke to Harry today and he said the boat is about ready to come out of the paint shop and looks read good. He is going to replace the skeg on the port side drive also. I asked about the ECU's and he said On Fire's were okay and were not replaced.

I'm surprised the guy you know took the other boat, unless he got a fantastic deal. I looked at that boat and it was beat up. Maybe he liked the scoops.

Put in a order for a Myco trailer today and everything is proceeding fine.

Then I looked at the pictures of Jay's boat. What a ride. Do you think Harry would mind if I asked for my deposit back? Somehow I do.

The boat is a 386 and the pully's will come later.

Jays' boat is just the epitomy of a Sonic IMO.

How many of you started figuring a way to get in to that boat, after seeing it?
You know what I'm talking about, you didn't know that you NEEDED it untill you saw it!
