|
Brian,
Just placed my order with Joe ,Thanks for getting this done. David |
Thats 9 pairs!
|
I just heard from TS42, he will order on Monday.
:D |
Do we have these steps on a 31? I cant picture them but then again I haven't been in my boat for about 6 months!
|
Yes, they are on a 31.
|
Do we have 10 orders yet?
I just got cupholders and bezels, I'm anxious to see the cupholders and steps together! |
If TS42 placed his order, yes.
And yes, they are identical on a 31SS as well. Order away, to get our initial run introductory price. |
Have they started the run yet?
|
Any news?

We are just over a week since we began the process so I don’t think anything will happen for another couple of weeks. I will check with the machine shop this morning to get the status. I will be tied up in catalog production meetings for most of the next two days so excuse me if I don’t get back to you till Monday. Thanks. (Joe) _____________________________________ Good Morning Joe. Do you have any idea when the step pads are going to ship? The guys on OSO are pinging me, about one person per day. Thanks a bunch! Brian |
Thanks Brian! I assume you ment 4-03-2003 for the date?
|
I copied that field right off the email.
Apparently, the date on Joe's computer is off. Correct date is: Thu 4/10/2003 |
From Joe today:
Good morning guys. Sorry for the delay in response. I saw a first article last night. We have to make one adjustment to the program. If everything goes well with the change, we should have product late today or early tomorrow. It then takes a day to polish and then a few days after that to Fusioncoat. That depends on the color we are shooting at the time. Once they go to polish I will try to get you guys a time frame for the colors. Should be able to start shipping by the end of the week. Thanks for your patience. Talk to you soon. (Joe) |
Excellent! Thanks Brian.

|
Yeah Baby!
Brian your the Best, Thanks again. |
Thanks Brian, I can't wait to see them with my new cup holders.
|
Blue and Purple have shipped.
|
anyone recieve their new steps from eddie marine ? if so how do they look and how was the installation ?
|
Not yet.
|
Still waiting. As soon as I receive them I am running to the shop to install them.
Does anybody know where I can find the cup holders in anodized purple? I have located several types but I cant find the smaller ones to replace my factory cup holders. |
UPS just showed up with my step pads, they look awesome. I am heading over to the shed to install them, I will try to get pictures.
Steve |
sonic steve let us know how you make out !!!
|
Thanks Brian, Mine came today (purple), curious how the powdercoat will hold up over time with foot traffic, since this design for Sonic's has a smaller percentage of rubber vs metal. Don't get me wrong, I'm not Whining, just wondering what others think? Hey, if they last a year, it'll be worth it over those plastic dirt magnets! Steve

And another.

SWEEEEEETTT!!!!
Simple... No shoes PERIOD!!!! |
for those that have or will be installing the steps before some of us , do new holes need to be drilled ? what size drill bit and what type and lenght of screws to use?
|
My blue ones just came in. My first thought was I can't step on this, they look too good. I'm very happy with the way they look. Great idea Brian.
Thanks Roger 26sonic, I'm not sure of the hole size yet but if you do need to drill, I suggest that you drill out the gel as large as the screw thread. This should be about 1/8" deep. If you don't, the gel will crack when you start to screw in the screw. |
Actually it was 26sonic's idea to have EMI make some custom. He started the dialog, and I provided the pics, dims, and correspondences. I am glad they have worked out.
|
thanks brian glad this worked out for all of us ! guys just keep me posted on installation tips ( drill sizes , screw types and sizes) don't want to mess this up !!
|
Well, thanks to you too 26sonic and Eddie Marine for making them for us. Its a nice custom touch. I'll try to post a picture of the blue when I get them on.
|
I got mine today, will install them and cup holders this weekend. I'm not sure of the logic of installing something that will show scratches for steps, but I like it!! NO SHOES!!!!
|
Put mine in today with Eddie cup holders. The screws were in the exact place as my previous plastic steps so no new holes were needed. I probably could have gone to a larger size screw, but they seem to hold fine. Steve
