Thats what happens when you leave the GPS on when towing..
Do you detect a hint of jealousy ???!!!

Serious.....That has to be the sweetest 31 Sonic around !!!
Dano rates as being VERY Anal about his boats !!!!!You can't go wrong...........

A half ton Chevy pulls a 31 Sonic very nicely if you have a decent trailer, I did it for several years.

The 31ss is 7000lbs dry(base model w/no options), maybe a little less with the new building process for the newer models. Now add weight for all your options, fuel(150gal x 6lbs = 900lbs), fresh water and all the misc. junk we all take with us.

A trailer will start at about 1,000lbs for an aluminum tandem, add triaxle or steel and you can add weight accordingly.

I tow hills and tend to stay within 80% of my trucks towing limits... Gravity, it's a dammed thing!!!

Flat land towing, you can tow 100 of the trucks capacity and more.

I pull mine with a Chevy 2500 HD with a 6 litre pulls good!!!I have pulled it with the wifes 1/2 ton Tahoe not he best but it got the job done. Pulling it isnt the problem its stopping it! a set of 4:11 gears in a 1/2 ton go a long way!!!!

That 6.0 Chevy motor is one hell of a motor!!! My buddy pulls a 26' SeaRay, triaxle eagle trailer and carries every last thing you can think of on that boat. That 6.0 pulls it all over these hills... it's a bit slow on some, but it does the job very well....

I had a 99' Yukon.... it's more of a minivan feeling tow vehicle.... That boat pushed me all over the road.....

Clay,
Well this one has all that and more. However a 1/2 ton with the steel Myco won't tow it very well. Fully loaded w/trailer your probably closer to 9000lbs. The 2500 is the ticket for this set-up. If you go alum and low fuel the 1/2 tons work pretty good.

Dyno,
HIP TO THAT STOPPING THING! Tahoe went bye-bye...right after it almost took me bye-bye.

East Coast B,
Yeah gravity can definitely get in the way...(very nice pic in the other thread by the way!) The boat kinda towed me in that Tahoe...I had to rock myself back and forth to break the freakin' suction of my azzz.... stuck to the seat a few times.

Birdog,
Man you know how hard it was to get that rig up to that speed out on I-275 pulling it with a Porsche? The state police were impressed (hehe). You gonna be out this weekend? I still have that hub.( Maybe if I take that off I'll get that elusive 2mph!)

Oh and by the way... ANAL? Wasn't that you stopping every 5 miles to wipe down your trailer (come on now admit it!) on the way up to New Richmond ?

Once the Crownline sells, I will sell my 1/2 ton Chevy Silverado.

Then I will buy a (used) 2500 and go Sonic shopping!
