Well good luck on your purchase. Man the boat is running great. The only bad thing is this is turning into another Donzi project. We are pulling the boat down to florida this labor day to have the interior done by Don Racine. Then hopefully we will paint over the winter. The boat is awesome we spend every weekend overnight. We are self sufficient. Air , shower crapper, All the comforts of home. Give me a call 704-634-9004 and lets catch up. I will post some pictures.

David

Boating Magazine article this past spring had the 31 with HO's clocked at 76.5mph.... That's in alignment with what the dealer told you of 77mph..... Think it was spinning 4blade 28" props....

Brian,

We are happy with ours. Ride is fantastic. No WOT runs yet. Only you can make the decision between the HO's and 500EFI's. We all know speed is $$$.

Call Offshore Performance before you make the trip. They may not have any 31's. Of the two they had. I bought one. The other...

OleMissalum; I hope your well.
We are just shoppin for now, 35 Fountains, 31 Sonics, 32 Sunsations and of course Donzi.... all 500 boats.
We would like to move up this winter, we'll see.
Nancy has a saying about truck engines, our motors MUST be blue! or never raise the hatch! LOL
Women! Got to love this one....

Although after a great day in the bay today rock'n with my son, that Damn Donzi of ours is SWEET! I love this boat.

Lastly, a special thanks to a big guy here on the board who called and talked to me about Sonics... Thanks Man, I got your numbers locked in....

Bryan

I bought a 1997 31 sonic this spring with 502s it runs 75-78 and a good 55-60 cruise. The best thig about a Sonic is when the water gets rough just give it more throttle, the second best is the cabin layout. Take one for a ride and you will be hooked. I agree that Offsore Performance is the best people to deal with.

Bryan, it was good to talk with you!!! Just wanted to add that when your at Offshore, just take a look at the 35' just for comparison purpose.... Looney Tune here had one 35' posted for sale on boattrader with some good pics just to get an idea of the difference in the boats.... Being tall, the 35' is ultimate!! Sonicusa.com also has one listed in the preowned section, not sure if they have inside pics or not.... Good luck with your search!! If you trade your boat in, let me know how you make out with value they give you....

I enjoyed the talk too, very informative, thanks. As far as our boat goes it will be a steal at 60K for a 2001 26ZX on a new trailer, or at least I think so. If I trade I know I will suck some $$$ on the trade price, it is all a numbers game in the end, so is life.
I will keep you posted, and thanks again.
Bryan
