is it better looking than the last couple that hit the press??The 45 with tripps in P.R.A looked like one of the mid 90 boats grafix were poor at best....

Actually I have been on the 45 that is in PRA. It's a lot prettier in person. I like it! I asked for that one for my birthday, didn't get it. Maybe Christmas will work out better!

The one in Hot Boat is nicer though. I looked for a pic on their web site but didn't find one to post, and I don't have a scanner.

According to the article, the extra foot is in the already huge swim platform, that's a little disappointing. But staggered (a Sonic first) 1100's push the boat to 97+ gps, that's not bad for a boat that size. No price listed in the article, but it is a rave review. Richard must have spent some advertising $$$!!!

Overall I like it a lot!

I agree, it might not give more space in the boat, but at least it's length that will be usable. The swim platform looks like a great place to hang out.

The swim platforms on the 42 & 45 are nice. A good size. They could stand to do something on the 31-38. They dont look much bigger than a 26's platform. I have friends that have 35's, and they are half the size on the platform on my 42.

It is nice that they integrated into the boat though & not a bolt on, although they ( bolt on )do look on some boats, but I dont think they are as comfortable ( stand, sit, walk ) or as serviceable as an integrated unit.

I would have thought that the 45/6 would have gone faster than that, atleast 100+. A 38 with 900's went 106 in a side by side configuration. With the staggard set up & the extra 400hp, I would have thought a little better. Its not bad, but not what I would have expected.

As for price, I would guess well over $500k. What engines ( cobra, sterling, etc ) & drives were on her ?

I had talked with Richard back in the Summer when he was up this way, and he said he had some big power & staggard setups comming out. Glad to see it came to fruition !

Cobra 1100's with #6's. If I had the scratch I would have to go with 1200's to hit the magic triple digit mark! Probably cost less than 5% more.

Another option vs the 1200hp motor,(higher hp = less reliability) , would go with some Arneson drives (8's), or really any surface drive, make use of that swimm platform, there is your 102 plus mph 46SS.
