I am looking at a 1999 31ss with hp500's.What do you Sonic guys think?Quality,Ride in rough water and speed?

Mark, you sell your Checkmate??

I think you will love the 31SS with 500s. It will really scoot. Carbs or EFIs? EFIs are idiot proof motors unless you run them like Big Mark. Your going to be in low-mid 80s with that setup if tweaked properly. My boat is a 1999, and it has no ill effects, and you have seen where my boat has been. Is it a local boat?

Hey,Brian still working on selling checkmate.It's for sale on the board. I have looked at a few sonics for sale on the net. I am waiting to sell mine before I can commit.Please spread the word on the checkmate.I'll let her go for a good price so we can move up!!

I just moved up to an 04 31ss with 496ho a/c, inverter, electric head the works I love the boat upper 70's and a good ride. By the way we were out last weekend 78 and partly cloudy. I don't know how some of you can leave your boats put up for so long, but then again you might get a heat stroke in July and August in Texas.

What do the newer 31 weigh? I cant believe that you can get into the 80's with 500's my 1993 runs 74 with about the same power...
