Sonics 45 weighed in at 12900 and hit 98 miles per hour. The 820's had been turned up a bit and making about a 1000hp. The boat would have broke a 100 but I am pretty sure it was the drive set up that slowed it. Arnesons would have been a better choice. I have researched the seateks for a boat I am building and would still prefer them to any diesel or gas engine. It makes the best hp per pound of any of the diesels. Basic rebuild is needed like a high hp gas engine but only burns half the fuel at WOT. Talk to Super Termoli about them I may still have an email from him regarding costs.

Thanks Viper 7, I had a 2000 42 Sonic, great boat, my ex-partner still has it. I presently have a 04 Nortech 4300, and love it. Want to do a 05 4300 or a modified deck version of a 42 Outerlimits.
