Center Hill lake???
A little help here. A friend of mine is having a little lake get together prior to his wedding on Center Hill. I am from Knoxville but have never been there. Anybody have any pointers or tips for the area? Anybody planning to be there August 12th?

A lot of us MCPAers go there for the weekend. We were there as recently as the 4th. Except for my best friend almost getting run over in his Fountain by a bass boat after the fireworks at Hidden Cove Marina Saturday night, it was a blast as usual.
The waterfalls (I'll see if I can post a pic) are beautiful. They're in the upper end of falling water creek.
If you're staying in a cabin/motel, I recommend Edgar Evins State Park. The cabins are nice and the ramps are good, if a little steep. # is 800-250-8619. You can also stay on the water, or in a covered slip. If you are staying in a slip I recommend the State Dock @ Edgar Evins 888-858-5695 or Center Hill Marina 615-548-4485. Both have good restaurants.
It's a beautiful, deep, clean lake. Rivaled only by Dale Hollow IMHO.
Regards,
Steve

Does anybody ever get any flack over open exhaust? I don't ever have any trouble around here, but not sure about that area.

Re: Center Hill lake???
Ive only heard of one incident this year. The boat the TWRA gave a "warning" to, was a 42ft Hustler with triple 750's, and that thing pounds the water, its really loud!! Other than that, Ive never heard of them giving anyone a hard time.

My buddy and I run HP575s with the factory CMIs and they've never said anything to us, even while idling beside them in the harbor. Actually the cops have been pretty cool. They asked my buddy (29' Fountain/575) if he wanted to race ...........

Re: Center Hill lake???
Thanks for all the info. Looks like I will be there Friday August 12th. Just a little get together before a friends wedding in Nashville. If any of you are there that day, be on the look out for a blue, orange, and black Baja 245.
