Need to try some props tomorrow, I live in Bowling Green, usually boat on Cumberland but with the weather tomorrow I'm looking for somewhere closer. Guys where should I go? Looking for best ramp, no underwater obstructions, closest to Bowling Green. Daytona 28. Thanks, Eric Barren River not an option due to ramps.

If you want to go to Old Hickory Lake you will exit at Rivergate Parkway. Turn left onto Rivergate PKWY and go to the 4th traffic light (Gallatin Rd) then turn left. You will go past all the retail business, a few miles, then you will get to Hendersonville. When you get to the traffic light at Travis Boating Center and Waffle House you will turn right onto Rockland Road. You should see signs for Old Hickory dam. Go about .3 to .5 miles and you will see a sharp turn back to your right leading to the dam and the boat ramp. You will be just across the cove from Anchor High Marina.
Once you get out of the cove you will see the dam and plenty of water to test run. The water is good for about 3 or 4 miles. After that stay in the markers!
If you go to mapquest.com type in 128 River Road - Hendersonville TN 37075 for directions to Anchor High Marina. You will turn before the marina because the boat ramp will be in the dam recreation area. The marina's phone number is 615-824-2175 if you run into trouble.

Hey Eric,
I just talked to Tim Baldwin, MCPA President, and he will be around his house tomorrow until 1:00 or 2:00. If you need help just call him at 615-364-8840.
Have fun while the rest of us HAVE TO WORK!
