I read in the paper this morning a Richard Pemerton was critically injured on the job yesterday. Is this our Sunsation Richie? If it is Is there someone we can call to see if we can help out? If that's you Rich, Hang in there Buddy we're praying for you.

You are correct it is Sunsation Richie. I heard from Becky about 10 last night and she had seen him and said that it was not as bad as she suspected prior to seeing him. The expect him to fully recover but it will be a long and painful recovery. They are also concerned about some chemical that was released from the explosion being in his lungs. Richie and Becky along with the rest of their family need to be in all of our prayers.

I was in South Nashville yesterday when I heard about it so I stopped at Vanderbilt on the way home. They were going to put in a breathing tube along with a special machine last night to help get his lungs cleared out and healed. Becky had gone to get some food with her parents but I did get to talk with Richie's parents and brother. Like his brother said, "they don't come much tougher than Richie". Thoughts and prayers are with Richie, Becky and all the family as well as the others injured. I'm sure Tim can also help keep us updated on his progress.

I also thought it might be a good idea to get together some kind of snacks, munchies etc to bring to the hospital for the family Saturday or Sunday from the boat club. Any thoughts or ideas?

that sucks... A good friend of mine from Murfreesboro had a pretty bad accident Sunday night. Rolled a 2004 BMW a few times. Compound fracture on his arm and they had to sew his ear back on...
