I'm gonna go, sit around on Clear Lake and Galveston bay taking pictures... I don't have a real boat now... so we'll be in my step dad's 27 Excalabur... or most likely I'll just take the 13 boston whaler out and show a new guy from work around. So if ya see a 13' whaler with two "photographers" on board give us a little fly-by... the friend is interested in getting a boat, and nothing pumps someone up like a poker run.

Ernie -

The boats will be at full idle until we clear the Boardwalk. So, you should be able to get some great pics of everyone idling across Clear Lake, from the Endeavour.

We'll be idling out & watching the boats leave too. We can't make the run, but Bruce Bullock, Tommy, Mike and other friends with TOPPS have encouraged us to watch from the Jag for a while.

Bruce and Richard Monicle were out testing a 1.29 gear ratio in Richard's new Skater yesterday. How about 151 gps @ 5,600......the engines will turn 7,000!

I'd also like to publicly thank Bruce and Richard for letting me "test" with a pair of Richard's old 5 blade props. Thanks Guys!

Leaving at 10 a.m., heading to Baytown... I believe we're there for an hour or so and then off for the photo shoot (thru the jetties) then to the lunch stop just North of the ship channel, up the ICW (appx. 1-2 miles); there for 2-2.5 hrs, then heading to Top Water Grill (for another card) and finally back to the lake where some will be putting their boats up for the day, like myself, going home to clean-up, then heading back to the Endeavour (by car) for the 7 p.m. event... live band etc...

Your best bet will most likely be either heading out or the lunch stop on the ICW. Otherwise, if you don't mind floating around for quite some time, you should catch everyone staggering back in (staggering as in, not all at the same time... not "staggering drunk" -- that will be later in the night! ).

Saw the boat for the first time yesterday - It is AMAZING... Even w/ Bruce's ugly mug standing beside it!

Joe-
Did you see Bruce and Richard filling up with the 118 octane! Richard said that's all he uses. Let's see: capacity about 400 gallons at about $8.50/gallon.

We'll look for your Cig at the Poker Run; I've been telling my wife about the great paint job.

If you guys want to save some coin, we have 118 sunoco up here in Conroe for under $6. I bought some last month for 5.75. You need the trailer to get it though.

I was all fired up to be in the Poker run, paid my entry fees last month, then was told the other day it was for members only. So I guess I will be another just watching from the sidelines.
