Default Upper Clear Lake Raft Up??

When we were out last weekend on Cl Lk, the son-in-law of a buddy said that there were a bunch of Scarab like boats ("like 50 of them") that would raft up in the upper reaches of Cl Lk toward 270. Any truth to this? If so what is the crowd, young, boats???

Rumor has it that the anchor / raft off area in Nasau Bay that you are talking about is spring fed. I don't know if it is true, but I do know that there are not jelly fish in there. Makes a good raft off area.

Was that you just coming in to the channel before Sundance Grill? We went to Galveston for an overnight trip and stayed where our Bolivar poker run stop will be. Had a blast.

Yep, it's Nassau Bay. That's the best spot in the whole area for rafting. Sweet water and no jellys. Just make sure you don't try to shortcut the entrance, you have to make the right turn into the poles to follow the channel. If not, it's MUD city! Also, stand up and look to the left (over the grass) to make sure you don't take out a kid on a tube...

We'll be there this weekend, prolly on someone else's boat. (Had double hernia surgery a few days ago, Doc say "NO DRIVE BOAT!")

See y'all there!

Here's a shot last year in Nassau...
