I thought about the 6 wheel amphibious vehicles too. My buddy has one in TX and I could drive it right across the creek to CYC... it works great.... a little weary of cruiser wakes but the bottom line is they are very uncomfortable for me being tall and are too wide for the docks...
plus you know we would be taking it to drip with 8 of us on board

You can probably get it painted rainbow to match your boat.

Not so sure about the tax, they changed the way thay are taxed last year. When you transfer the title, the state charges something like 4% excise tax at that point rather than sales tax at the dealer.
