They(LCRA) just announced that Travis will be closed through the 4th. I think we'll sit in the boat in the garage, drink a few beers and listen to some tunes!!!! At least we won't trash a prop or lower unit.

Lake Travis is projected to peak at 700 to 701 feet above mean sea level (msl) during the next few days, as a result of rains of almost 3 inches that fell Saturday in the San Saba area. At noon, Lake Travis was at 699.7 feet msl and continued to rise.
Meanwhile, a week of extensive flooding throughout the lower Colorado River basin prompted a ban on recreational boating on Inks Lake and lakes Travis, Marble Falls and LBJ. Lake Buchanan remains open. The ban will continue on Lake Travis and possibly the other Highland Lakes through the July 4th holiday. The ban was prompted by debris and other unsafe conditions. Read the full story. (Also see: City of Austin site for details on its closure of Lake Austin, Town Lake and the Colorado River below city-operated Longhorn Dam.)
LCRA continues floodgate operations along the Highland Lakes, including operating floodgates each at its two largest dams: Buchanan (three floodgates now open) and Mansfield (four floodgates).

Lake Travis has topped 700 feet above mean sea level and may rise another foot today based on rain that has already fallen. After the Hill Country received scatterd showers overnight, LCRA officials continue to closely monitor weather conditions that could cause more rain that eventually would feed into the lake.
Note - 681 is considered "full". We are 19 feet above flood stage!

LCRA closed a second floodgate at Buchanan Dam after 8 a.m. Friday morning as flows into Lake Buchanan continued to decrease. One floodgate remains open at Buchanan Dam, the northernmost dam along the Highland Lakes chain.
Lake Travis appeared to peak early Friday morning shortly after midnight at 701.52 above mean seal level (msl). LCRA forecasts that Lake Travis will remain 700 feet msl through the weekend, based on rain that has already fallen. At 7:15 a.m., the level of Lake Travis was 701.42 feet msl. The lake, formed by Mansfield Dam, was built to hold back water during times of flood. Fluctuations in its level are expected.
