What a dark, gloomy day at Texoma. I think I`ll just get drunk ...
|
What do you guy's use to get Texoma off the boat's stainless hardware? What ever it is? It leaves a crust like film. I can get it off with elbow grease but it's tuff, Can you spay on something before going out that will make it easy to wash it off?

I wipe my boat down immediately after putting it on the trailer. I do one side and wifey does other side. My cleats and rubrail look great. My exh tips on the other hand, don`t look so good. Toilet bowl cleaner will clean the crud off your stainless. Just rinse it off good. |
I have been trying all kinds of stuff lately. The toilet bowl cleaner is great, but leaves rust marks if you don't rinse well.

Try mueratic acid from the harware store, start with 50/50 water to acid, mix liquid soap for a wetting agent and brush it on....rinse well after waiting a minute for the mixture to dilute scale.
Note: Use rubber gloves and safety goggles, the acid will also bleach your clothes. |
