Default Lake Conroe July 4th

Just curious, we are planning a trip to Lake Conroe this summer. Is there much going on July 4th weekend on the lake??

I'm sure it will be the normal holiday weekend type of stuff with fireworks at night. Usually lots of boats and good fireworks. Haven't heard of anything specific yet.

Should be plenty of people and fireworks at night. Different places do theirs different nights so you can see plenty from the water. I haven't seen any plans put out yet.

True Story..

Don't drink and drive. Last year we had some crazy number of police on the water. I think it was 27 police boats for a little pond like Conroe.

Yea they are kinda out of control.......I get soo tired of hearing " Good afternoon I stopped you for a safety check for all of your gear and by the way have you had anything to drink today" and then you get stopped again 15 minutes later by another group.

You could try Sam Rayburn Reservoir by Jasper, TX for something different. Less cops, but they will bust you too. I think I saw about 4 cops last 4th of July. Wherever you go, keep the heavy drinking on shore after a day in the boat. Stay out of Jail.
