Bridgeport Lake: NICE SURPRISE!!
Went to Bridgeport Lake on Memorial Weekend. I gotta say it was a great surprise. Much bigger in size than I expected, two rivers leading in and they are both with a minimum of 20-30' deep! I finally got a nice decent ride up river without sweating hitting a shallow patch.
If ya get the chance I'd take a day try it, additionally I counted about 50 boats out on the entire lake total,the whole day, hell, just on the West side finger of the I-35 bridge on Lake Lewisville there were over 200. Maybe Murray or Ray Roberts this weekend, gonna be H-0-T! |
I agree a very nice lake and you can hide away if you want to. Just watch for the sand bar on the south side of the broadway when the lake is low ;) Back in the 90's I found a 1979 Chevy Blazer in about 30 foot of water close to the bridge. That must have been one hell of a ride!
