Summer 2011 Offshore Trip?
 

Ft Lauderdale to Bimini or Key West to Havana? Who's in? We did the Ft Lauderdale to Bimini trip back in 2006 with a group and Nancy and I went alone this past summer. Had a blast both times. Bimini is about 50 miles off the coast. I've always wanted to go to Havana though. Anyone in? It's around 100 miles from Key West. I'm thinking mid-July 2011.

I got the motor started up the next day. There's a block of 4 fuses hanging off the ECM, one of them was blown.

Ok guys... We're gonna do Bimini again this summer. Not so last minute this time!

Anyway, we're gonna do it again this year, and hopefully not alone this time. We're also gonna try and do some island hopping this year, assuming the winds are somewhat calm.

We are thinking either the last week of July or first week of Aug. FL Powerboat Club is going July 21-26, but that's a Thurs thru Tues. I won't be able to do that with my work schedule.

For the last week of July:
Arrive in Ft Lauderdale Sat July 23
Make the crossing at 6am Sun July 24
Arrive back in Ft Lauderdale Fri July 29 (or Sat July 30)
Head Home

or the 1st week of Aug:
Arrive in Ft Lauderdale Sat July 30
Make the crossing at 6am Sun July 31
Arrive back in Ft Lauderdale Fri Aug 5 (or Sat Aug 6)
Head home

We plan on leaving Austin thursday after work and spending the night in Houston to hopefully grab the rest of our crew. Then leave Houston early Friday morning.

I'm thinking of making the run over on the 30th from Fort Lauderdale, if you go that weekend I'd run with you guys, weather permitting of course

Sorry, but my wife and I ended up canceling. We went alone last year. She refused to go alone this year. We were planning on going, but we couldn't round up any other folks, so we gave up. Maybe next year...
