Default Lake Texoma? Need Info?

To do something different, I would like to plan a trip to Lake Texoma. I have never been there. I go to Sam Rayburn because I have a lake house at that location. I would like to find a place where I can keep my 38 foot (45 feet on trailer) boat in the water and stay in a Cabin at the same location. Also, I don't want to leave my truck and trailer at the boat launch overnight. It would be nice to have my truck, trailer and boat all at the same place. Because my truck and trailer needs a lot of room, should I stay at a marina or rent a house? Any information would be helpful. Where should I go? Also, do I need mufflers?

High Port Marina may be your best bet([url]www.highport.com) ...no mufflers needed.

Tanglewood has the hotel rentals, but not sure about the dock or ramp.

I think Cedar Mills, Little Mineral Marina & Resort, Buncombe Creek, ALberta Creek, Soldier Creek, Texoma Marina & Resort, and Mill creek have everything you want. Cedar mills has the best restaurant on the lake. Buncombe, alberta, soldier creek all have small restaurants.

Highport doesn't have any cabins, but you could stay at the Holiday Inn on Texoma just up the road from Highport.

I would look at Texoma Marina first, they are the newest marina on the lake.

Talking Texoma

Aah Texoma, brings back fond memories. Used to spend the summers there with the grand parents. They had a place at bridgeview resort on the north side. More of a little fishing village than a resort though. I sure would like to visit and get back too my roots but it's a long drive from Tulsa with two screaming kids in the back. Guess now I know how my parents must have felt.

You can still get room rates of $79/night at Tanglewood Resort if your a member of TX Fun Run Club. Plenty of parking and good ramp right there at Highport Marina.

Highport usually has slips to rent for overnight use. They have a huge parking lot at the ramp. Tanglewood resort is within walking distance....

Thanks. How is the lake level at Texoma? The lake level at Sam Rayburn in Texas is super low and it will be difficult to launch.

I dont think that will be an issue. I launched my Black Thunder at Highport a couple weeks ago and the lake seemed fine.
