Guys my wife and I are looking to take the boat over to TN and hit one of these lakes for a few days. Anyone have any suggestions on Douglas in the Smokies or the others. I hear Norris is awesome. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I live on Cherokee Lake. It is nice not as crowed as Douglas and Norris. Norris has more places to eat, hangout, lodge and socialize . Cherokee only has 1 restaurant which usually has some type music entertainment. (Not sure what you are looking for). If you have any specific questions I will try to answer.

We are just looking for a place to spend 4-5 days with a group of friends so we don't need too much. The wife loves cool clean lakes and has been spoiled by Smith Mountain, VA and Summersville in WV. Hard to beat those in her book. We got a place at Norris based on some other input. Might check out Cherokee too while we are up there. Thanks for the reply!

Don't forget to throw the Tellico Lake in as an option! Clean water! Head up stream towards the Chilhowee Dam, that water is freezing in August! There is a new marina, that you can rent some cabins.
