Considering coming down and I can only make it to 1.

Which is better June or Sept.?

Reasons would be appreciated.

The individual runs pro/cons would also help.

Both runs are good June run is in its fourth year and keeps getting better guys that put it on are always around if you have questions. Cost is also good $200.00 included helo. photo .Party and food is good at the end. Sept. run is the biggest as it brings a lot of high dollar hardware. Botels and the party on the dock are crazy cost is higher. Docking and rooms are hard to find if you wait to long. That being said the June run is more laid back and the Sept. run you go from early am. to ?????.a long day. If you have not been to LC contact me and we can show you around the lake.

September is hands down the better run IMO.

we ran them both last year. both were great, I personally liked june a little better because it was smaller with tons of entertainment and a laid back atmosphere. sept run was full of badass hardware and it was nice to see all the big boys but it seemed to be geared a little more for them. not that there is anything wrong with that but I am not one of them!! either way you go its a win.

What exactly are the dates? My wife told me I'm off work for one and not the other.

Thunder Run is put on by some local guys. cool people. geared more toward your average power boat enthusiast (at least it has been in the past). i go to em both every year and always have a blast. ive never run in one..its just not my thing...but the partying is always fun.

if ya wanna see the big boys and big toys ya need to go to the sept run. and its usually one of if not the best weekend at Harmon Creek if thats what your into. some of the docks really go all out as well.


but they are both great events and im glad to be around to see em take place.

Sept.....you won't be disappointed!

September Poker run is always the weekend after Labor Day! If you plan to even cruise through Harmon I wouldnt bring any young Kids!

dont forget tp bring beer liquer etc if your into the "social" drinking thing because every county around lake cumberland is DRY! ask me how I know.

We have property on Harmon creek, we are across Lake Cumberland where Jamestown marina is. I have`nt been to the poker runs yet, plan on it this year though.
