Any OSO members running offshores on this lake on the AL/GA border? WHat can you tell me about it...horsepower limits, rules/regs, sandy beaches, dinning, hangouts and the like? I may be moving to the area and this is the largest fresh water lake nearby...

Been on it once and it was ok. I don't know of any horsepower limits and not much on any of the Alabama lakes in the way of shops/bars/dining... Just your run of the mill marina's and fuel islands (don't expect to see anything above 87 octane)..

Can be shallow in spots. Lots of junk like logs and trees and just general trash. Tons of gators but also great fishing. Typically muddy water. What part you may be moving to?
