Yes! I was right there. 35 Plus holding to get off water, a guy cuts the line and a fight breaks out. 2 On 1, then car doors open! 4 cops and K-9 unit. Dog had to get the one that threw first punch. I heard that punch land! Crazy night!!!

Bring this thread back up to the top! My in laws house is done and we are heading up on the sun the 15th and prob leaving wed to be back in time for the outlaw challenge. Never been on the lake any tips on where to go? Any places where u can beach the boat or where the water is wadeable? The house is right by ramp 6, that a good place to launch? Anything for me to hit coming in and out? From the map I looked at the lake seems pretty deep anything else out there that I need to be aware of?

Ramp #6 is a good ramp, it was of the few open at the end of summer last year when water level went below 11.5’ low. It becomes a very popular ramp at low lake levels because it was one of the few open on that side of lake; fights broke out last Labor Day. With that in mind, don’t go deeper in the cove past your ramp, tree farm heaven. Also upon leaving ramp heading out of the cove, do a day run with lots of sunshine, there are still a few trees, until you past no wake zone buoys. My buddy had to use ramp 6 last year with his 42' Fountain, no problems what so ever.
Anchoring: As you leave your cove, where the lake opens up, on your left is a nice sandy spot, never have seen anybody using it though, we could always start an OSO rafting tradition. The cove directly to your north is known as the party cove, can’t miss it on the weekends.
Marinas: Two Marinas with gas, Cranes Mill on the North end, and Canyon Marina directly across the lake from your cove. Canyon Marina has pump out, and also the only Restaurant / bar on the Lake.
Do not go into the furthest most cove, shallow and tree farms galore, this is where the river feeds the lake. You know you’re headed back there by the pump house on your left. If you stay 100’ – 125’ from shoreline, one should not have any problems with water depth.
What else am I missing? Anybody else think of anything.

Bump on the thread. Since my last post, lots to update. First, I have met both Travis (29 Outlaw) and Jeff (271 FasTech) in person. Couple of cool cats.... Matter of fact, Travis's mother in laws house is across the street from mine! Many a late night at both houses! Also, my 30 Outlaw is gone and I have had my new 35 Outlaw on the water three times. Man, huge difference between the 30 and 35!
Lake continues to fall, no inflow, while there is contractual outflow. Not a good recipe. I launch at ramp 6 exclusively, i can walk to it. If im not launching, im at the ramp laughing. You see everything there! OMG, it is insane. I just get on the golf cart, cold beverage, and watch the show..... Will be back up in a couple weeks or so.
Jeff, I think you bout covered all the tips, tricks, and pointers. I've seen some decent rafting up across from ramp 6, in the no wake zone. Looked nice. I like Turkey Cove a lot myself.
Fun times to all at Canyon Lake!
