I am new to the Austin area and haven't used my boat. I have a Profile 29OS,but don't know where to launch or store. I would like to find a place to keep my boat on the trailer and be able to launch as needed. And I need a good mechanic.
Any advice would be appreciated!

With Lake Travis so low you won't be able to get on the lake at all right now. Lake Austin is a place to go but you'll get some dirty looks with a boat like yours. There's always Lake LBJ up the Highland Lakes Chain which is constant level and about a hr away. If you're boat is Merc powered, look up MobileMercMan.com Jim is top notch guy and can handle anything you need done. He works out of his own shop in Jonestown. PM me if you have any questions. Welcome to Austin!

If you have not already signed up, look at some local area threads about ramps on Austin Boat Forums. Welcome to the area. If you can trailer and are the south side of Austin, you can always swing down to Canyon Lake. Little, but fun. Still usable ramps left.

on Lake Travis Emerald Point Marina in hudson bend will launch you for a fee,,free if you rent a slip overnight .
I launch right off the shore at Arkansas Bend park and there are a couple other parks such as Dink Pearson Park where you can launch right off the shore just need a 4x4 to make sure you dont get stuck..
If you know anyone in Lago Vista you can use their poa card to use Emerald Bend Ramp as well. Steep ramp so 4x4 reccomended here as well.
This was a few weeks ago pulling my 27 out at the park with my buddies Excursion, no problem at all..

maybe the lake going down another 2 foot put it at another downhill slope, it looked like it flattened out when we were there, or they had just not cleared out the silt yet. That deck boat was chunking mud the whole way out that day. That's good to know though if we are able to make a trip back up there this year!!
