You'd do awesome on LBJ for sure and during the spring on Lake Travis would be no issue at all. The only time Travis gets dicey is when you start getting the crossing wakeboard and cruiser wakes, that's a little nasty but usually isolated to near Devil's Cove during prime lake time.

Do you ever run Lake Austin? We did 20 years ago, and it was great. I've heard it's hard to get access now. I've been depressed with the water level on Travis, and I really wanted to go to Medina again. Been praying for rain in your area all year. My family has a place in Burnet. We have ran Inks in our other boats, but the Fountain won't make it up the driveway. So I have to work on that aspect and I can do LBJ this coming year!

My boat is too big and loud, I wouldn't make any friends in the busier months on Austin so I stick to Travis. More limited on ramp options but I can still get on and off easily.

LBJ was cool and a breeze to get on and off. You could tell our boats weren't the favorite of the locals though.

That's alright, they can get over it. We really have a problem with that on the jet boats. Some lakes are banning the over-transom headers! I would like to hit Canyon again, and hopefully Travis will get some water back.I heard Lake Austin was a upper class kind of crowd. I wouldn't much fit in!

As long as your willing to trailer to the other side of Canyon, Jacobs Creek and Little Jacobs creek ramps are pretty deep. I can get you in as a guest at Joint Base, and get you a wet slip for the week end.

Ok, all this talk is gonna a force a date to go boating this spring.

What does everybody think?

Capt or myself will start a new thread for 2015 Spring Run.

We will need to decide on Lake, then the month, and of course the Saturday or Sunday.

It will be a break in new motor rebuild for me again!!! lol

I didn't make it up to Canyon this year, Didn't know it was hurting for water as well. That really sucks, because my family loves that lake.
