Default North TX outdrive work

Hi Guys,

Who are you using to repair outdrives in the north TX area? The guy I used to use retired.

Thanks!

Know a great mechanic in the Austin area - a bit down the road but he's top notch.

No reason Daniel Derebery can't handle it. Good guy taking the lead up there.

What apps here ? OEM TRS or Bravo's or ???? or aftermarket outdrives ? IMCO, Sternpower, Konrad, Bravo Shop or ????
It makes a huge difference what you have to as where and who will work on them that is any good for rebuilding them. I only will rebuild Alpha/s, Bravo's and Volvo's 1994 and up. That's it.

DFW area is very hard to get work done on the performance end especially if the boat is older than 20 years old. Most shops in DFW if it is a Mercruiser or Volvo will buy a reman product from any of the top 3 around the USA and sell it to you that way no matter of the year. Not many around rebuilding drives nor engines anymore especially on the performance end.

Haven't heard anything bad about the guys up at texoma make sure you tell them what you have had , and. Have now ,and have on the other side so you don't get sticker shock .throw the drive in the back of the truck and be there in a hour ,and see if they have something cool on the Dyno .still have a mint steel tower upper and bravo x cap ill sell cheap if you need it

Good point BUP, they are Bravo 1s.

And yes, I've had some dealings with Derebery in the past. Was seeing if there was anyone folks were using in the Dallas area.

I would say pull it yank lower carrier out and look at those gears if its all good there maybe split the upper off and freight it out for some upgrades to bravo shop or Austin ,there is a guy in luisiana that's savy with bravo upgrades ,be under $200 in freight Fed ex . If it goes that route ,I can prob drag out a bravo doner to plop on there so it doesn't look funny at the slip with one drive missing lol
