Is anyone still leaving from Clear Lake that is familiar with East Bay and the Stingaree cut? I've always gone down to the Crossroads and then across. Isn't East Bay pretty shallow? I wouldn't mind cutting the corner, but I'd rather follow someone who has done it before.

Next time we go out in the boat, I will idle through the channel and see if you are out.

I haven't seen very many people confirm and book the hotel.

Most all the reefs and obstructions in east bay are marked with PVC pipe. As long as you watch out for them it's pretty clear. Aim towards the water tower and that will bring you close to the entrance of Stingaree cut. It's a good idea to come off plane going into the cut due to fishermen and ICW traffic.

I blew out my knee stepping off a curb and still recovering. (Torn: ACL, PCL, Patella Tendon and Knee cap.) I thought recovery would have been sooner. I am still not able to drive so being on a boat is out of the question. I was told 6 to 10 months for recovery. I am trying to get back for the Outlaws or another run.

This really sucks, I just dumped a lot of cash into the boat to be ready for this run. Now this... AHHHH

That does suck. I sprained my knee two weekends ago. Still limping like an old man. Actually, I am an old man but that's another story entirely. It takes me 10 minutes to get on and off the boat. I'm going anyways. I'm choosing to not go to a doctor to find out what, if anything, is actually torn or otherwise messed up.

I hope you make it back on the water soon.

OK, now I'm confused. We just called the Golden Nugget to make reservations. We gave them the confirmation code that Showtime posted back on page 12, but apparently that code has been moved to May 8th and does not have any discounts on it.

What's up? Is anybody still going on April 17th? Is anybody still going at all?

I have been in contact with the GN. The person that was organizing this event was unable to make it. So they changed their date, I think by error the discount code was removed for this run. The manager at GN is working on it for me. I will let you know.

It appears that pretty much everyone has backed out, at least on this date, so I think we're just going to give it up and wait for the Outlaw Challenge in June. With our luck, the weather would have been crappy anyways.
