I know we are still a few months away but it looks like it maybe a few more boats than the number you have put out so far, I just got a call from another friend of mine and he said count him and his wife in 29 Advantage 1 boat and 2 people and they will also need a room and dockage. Leaving from Beaumont...

Just had another friend from Houston commit, another 34 Baja and 6 more people so that will be 1 more boat and 3 more rooms and 1 dock space....
This is going to be a lot of fun........So let's see right now my group is up to 4 Boat's and 20 people so far and growing.. all leaving from Beaumont....

AWESOME!!! I just put that number out as a base... We are still 3 months out. I know it goes fast... But we are hitting the area at a great time. Spring Break will be over and right before schools get out and people start to Vacation.
But the sooner we can lock in a number of people the safer it will be.
So far we have about 28 people correct?
Is there a hard count right now?
More I think about this I might head directly to the Nugget for Coordination when you all arrive. This is getting large and gonna be a blast.

Advice needed. I now have used my boat for around 5 hours and have no issues (engines have 350 hours total) . I don't want to jinx myself but is there anything I should do to the boat prior to this run? Engines are 2006 Mercruiser 350s and bravo III drives. Below is what I plan to do:
1. DIY oil and filter change
2. Pay marina to do a compression check and replace spark plugs at the same time
3. Inspect and possibly replace belts (bring a spare)
3. DIY Change lower unit gear oil
4. DIY Inspect and top up all fluids
5. DIY Replace fuel filters
6. When I bought the boat they installed new water pumps should I replace the impellers?
7. I am very particular about the boat. It is very clean, but I will preform a full detail.
8. Oh and the last thing!!! I am installing a pretty serious stereo. So I will make an All Canadian hits CD. Just what everybody wanted haha.

Thanks Urban. I hear what you are saying. I ran the boat from Clear Lake to Galveston and back running about 3800 RPM the whole way and it never missed a beat. At around 4500 rpm I am doing just above 50mph. I figure this is what I will be running on the this trip in order to keep up. I ran it for 20 mins at this speed and temp never increased a bit.
I just installed a new Garmin 741 7" touch screen and I would reccommend to anyone. Very easy to install and very user friendly. The sonar is cool also.
