Hearing a lot from the out of state guys on when they are headed this way for the 200.

What about the local guys. When are y'all planning to be on the river?

A few of us from Baton Rouge will be there Thursday morning - maybe even Wednesday night!

some use the public launch which is a pretty good one or you can put in at Blood river. check with caseyh for details.

the public launch is good for two at a time but the trun is not made for the real long boat/trailers.

Was planning on launching at Blood River Marina unless someone suggests elsewhere... Like joew says...42 Fountain... We have the Hustler. I know most people from what have been told use Blood River Marina. Bigger question...whos rafting off to who for the nights.....

Kennyo... one of the guys in your group I think is buying my carbs I took off my 500's...

We launched our 43 at the public ramp. The turn is tight but we made it ok. We plan to launch there on Thursday morning.

Yea, I'm pretty sure we made it with my brothers 42 fountain a couple years back but then I remember a black thunder attempted and couldn't make it with a huge line behind him. I felt for that dude.

Other than the tight turn which ramp is more boater friendly/less crowded?

Hossman, I'm guessing you're talking about Marshall

The public landing is nice but the turnaround can be tight for long boats. The ramp is wide so you can easily launch 2 boats at a time. How tight it is usually depends how some people park after they put in. It can also get pretty crowed and may take a few extra minutes - depending. Long rigs might have to jockey around finding a spot to park after putting in if its crowded. Don't want to make it sound bad because it is a very nice public landing.

Blood River Marina is a single wide launch with plenty turn around room. It is normally a private marina so I'm sure it will be more organized in getting boats in the water.

Personally, I plan to put in at Blood River Marina early Thursday morning.

The long range forcast is showing sunshine !!!
