We were driving back from Ft. Worth, TX last week and stopped by Beaver Lake. I've read the posts on here and the lake sounds pretty decent for performance boating. We didn't spend a lot of time to explore. But are there many restaurants on the water? Also, I didn't see a lot of boat launches but like i said, we didn't spend a ton of time there.
I could be looking at the lake for a possible retirement home and also wondering if there are any areas to look at and/or stay away from.

Beaver is an awesome lake for boating. It is not much for the restraunt style though. A few marinas spread out on it. I think prairie creek has a place to eat, but I don't get to that end much. Starkey marina has a pizza bar/lunch grill. Lots of powerboats there this year over the 4th. Good turnout for cigs also, most of which were at the rendezvous. There is some restrictions on where docks can be. I would do a lot of homework if your looking at property.
