I might pull up roots and move from DC to Chattanooga (East Ridge) at the end of the year. I've been there multiple times, but always during the fall/winter. What is the boating scene like in the area? Is the marine or auto repair markets any good down there?

I boat the TN river. Good runs between the dams. Mostly outboard bass boats, but there are competent mechanics in the area. Not too many performance mechanics...
