There is enough water to boat but it sure is depressing looking at this 1/2 empty lake.
My brother in law who is a real estste appraiser heard they were planning to keep Hartwell down 10-20 feet for the next 2 years. Anyone else heard about this?

We were out from 9-2 today. All I saw were a few poontoons, couple a skiers, and fishing boats. We were at Charlie T's for an hour at lunch time...total of 3 other boats.
Didn't see a performance boat 1.
PS What really sucks is the people we are renting from lied about the water at their dock. 6 ft ='s 3 or less and their dock isn't even all the way in the water.

I am surprised their aren't more rental options on Allatoona. Hartwell has too many advantages over Allatoona even with the lake being low...more and better restaurants on the water, options gallore as far as renting on the lake, and lots of big water to room and play on! We will still do daytrips to Allatoona in the middle of the week.

That is a nice offer. Unfortunately I think we have to work. Feeding the dogs(as long as they don't bite!) and watering the plants is no problem! Do you have a dock?
