Best Place In Florida To Live

I am sure this has been asked before......but my wife and I are researching areas in Florida to live thniking about going now before kids get in there teens or waiting for retirement -another 10/15 years to move.

Of course boating is an automatic but more importantly best place to live and raise children.

We are focusing on mainly on neighborghoods and education.

We figured why wait untill were in our 50s or 60's to live out our dream.

Our kids are 5, 7 and 10 and like us love the outdoors, team sports, beachs, boating and of course shopping...

We both grew up in the metroploitan suburbs and are use to technology ,higher education, malls etc.....

We now live in a resort town which was great at first but is becoming old after 14 years of change for the worse.(we got in at the right time)

Any suggestions east coats, west coast north south....has to be close to the water or on the water.

Thanks Tony

I have been looking at Palm Harbor .....anyone have any input.

Melbourne Beach!

It has it all! It is not for city people
who go out on the town and expect
to see fine restaurants. It is for families.
No hi rise condos. The boating is great.
Very few slow speed areas.

The best boating is in the Ft Lauderdale area,
but you kids will have to go to private schools.

Indian River County(Vero Beach and Sebastian) has some of the top rated schools in the state.

Offshore boating is minimal though. Most folks fish. I have not seen one other peformance boat in Vero but mine.

Ft Myers/Naples is a very nice area with exceelent offshore boating. Schools are above avg.

Not necessarily, Palm Beach County is REAL close to Lauderdale, we live in PBC, and boat anywhere from West Palm to the keys.

thanks....keep the info coming. I have been researching for a few days now and talking to friends on both east and west coasts

I really like Palm harbor ....just need to make a decision on timing as far as the kids are concerned. Either within a year or wait about 6 years.

Definelty going though.

I wish I was at Mango's too, Good luck in your search many, many properties there for sale, I have lots in South Venice and after many trips down I'm starting to look around again. I do really like the gulf side
