sandbar and crab island is the same i thought?

Nope, 2 big party places on this weekend.

The pic posted is from the shallow spot past the Ft. Walton bridge. (no wake zone). Thats the better spot to be of the weekend. They pull the boats around the sandbar and block it off pretty much. You can just walk around in the center and enjoy the sights.....

ok so where is crab island? i thoghut i was right past the destin bridge in the intercoastal

Where is the Fort Walton sand bar? We are going down to Destin June 19, cant wait. Hopefully no oil.

Crab Island is in Destin right outside the harbor by the Destin bridge.

so you go under the bridge and head towards destin pass, and go under the destin bridge and thats where crab island is? not to far then. what days are better where?

Crab Island is right before the bridge going into Destin. Is the Fort Walton sand bar around brige st bridge? Which side the bridge Destin or Fort Walton one?

Big party is saturday at Ft. Walton on the west side of Brooks Bridge.

Crab Island is on the north side of the Destin Bridge. Usually a crowd there anytime. We went last year and traveled back and forth that saturday.

Theres a lot more going on in Ft. Walton.

DAMN GOOD TIME. i will be there every year from now on. had a blast, boat did great.
