Default Sebring Florida

I'm going to be in the Sebring area from Oct 1 thru Dec 31.
I have a raw water cooled boat and a steel trailer so looking at mostly freash water, at least to launch out of.

I'm expecting to spend alot of weekends on Lake O and the Peace River out to Charlett Harbor. Also a Bimini run or two is in the plans.

I'm courious about Lake Sebring, Placid, June and Istopatka(sp) for dinner runs and afternoon quick splashes. I know they are small and Istopk is very shallow. My 30 Velocity will be way out of place for sure but they are 2-15 miles from where I'll be staying. Can I boat there?

I just want to spend an afternoon, cruise to a restaurant, have a drink and a meal and back to the ramp.

Can I get some local Knowlege?

Thanks,
Mark

Don't know...the only thing I do in Sebring is drive the race track. A 30 Velocity might be a little big for the area lakes. All I ever see is pontoon boats and bass boats on these lakes.

Lake Jackson in Sebring is deep and clean just not very big. All the rest are just for fishing (lots of weed) and no bars. Fished lots on all the lakes around Sebring.

Thanks for the reply. I know it's overkill.

Lake Sebring is 2 miles from where I'll be staying. I see a few restaurants on the 3 little lakes (@3k acres) Istopaka is over 30k acres but very shallow. I see several fish camps and marinas there.

I'll be done w/my work day by noon or so on Sunday thru Wednesday and off the rest of the week. Just want a close place to splash and take a dinner cruise close by.

Wednesday night thru Saturday nights will be Lake O or Peace River/Charlot harbor.

Just wondering if the little lakes have horsepower limits and will the Bass Fishermen shoot at me

Thanks Taboo. I've read it's lunker bass haven.

Yes Lake Jackson is the one I've confused w/Sebring Lake. It's 2 miles from Highlands Hammock SPark where I'll be staying. Says 9k acres too.
