skip hawks cay, wave as you go by

South 2 hrs Sparkeys landing, Marathon, key colony beach, patron margaritas, great food, fresh fish, ect seawall ties (soft) say hi to Paul the bartender/mgr

South 2.5 Bahia Honda. great harbor, State beach, lousy food, no bar.

South 3.5 key west CONCH REPUBLIC, If your lucky you can bum a parking spot in front of the bar, If not it will cost you 100.00 for a day slip. Patron margaritas, FuFu drinks of all sorts, cracked conch, cracked conch, cracked conch..and of course patron margaritas. Gas docks sell 93non ethanol the last time I was there.

Just curious, what don't you like about Hawks Cay? I was only there once for the FPC run, but I thought it was a good spot. Food was nothing spectacular but service was okay and the resort itself seems beautiful.

Momo, is your OL on one of the lifts at Miami Beach marina? If so, I've admired it there a few times. I actually almost ended up a few lifts down from you for the season.

Hawk's Cay is beautiful. It's a fantastic facility, and has great food.

It's a little longer than a day trip though, but I guess that depends on how fast you boat.

Default Hawks cay

If you are on the FPC run it may be different, every time I have been there the drinks have been pricy and lousy, the service is slow and the food is just OK. Since the remodel the hotel and pools are spectacular.....but thats it. I wish it were better, Its a great location...Watch out for the rockpile in the middle of the main channel.....oops

Newest addition to Keys run stops..New Holiday inn bar In Marathon. Accessable through the Key Colony channel from the atlantic side. Stunning new restaraunt Tiki bar. New dock and free guest ties. Its in the back of the harbor. The channel is well marked with shoals dotted by white buoys. This would be my choice, just past hawks cay.
