Cape Coral rental

Looking at renting a place on SE 20th Pl., is that a good area to be in? We will be coming some time in June. How far are the beaches from here? Any good restaurants to go to by boat preferably in the area?

Any thing going on down there like the third week of June?

Lots of rentals on VRBO.com
With that being the off season you should get a hell of a deal! Boating is great down there, have fun!

Don't know the address you're looking at, but the SE 20th Place I know is in a OK area, but then I think everything is nice down here, the best area of the Cape is anything in the SW part of the Cape, preferably South of Veterans Blvd.

There's a public beach over by the Yacht club in Cape Coral, but the best and nicest beaches are either on Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel or Captiva, all are between 30-45 minute drive by car, not far at all.

The schedule hasn't come out yet for the stuff happening in the Cape yet, but no big races or anything like that, just beautiful weather, I wouldn't make it any later than early June though, we come into our raining season after that and you wouldn't want to be on vacation then, the best time of the year is Feb-April.

If you have any further questions ask away or PM and I'll ship you're number and we can talk on the phone.

If you do get down and we get out, maybe we all can go for a boat ride, good luck.

SE 20th PL is real close to river access if that means anything. 33904 closer than 33990.

The house we are looking at is right on the river.

Bunch of restaurants to go to by boat. Either up the river where it's protected, up in ICW where it is still protected, or Ft Myers Beach area or Naples or Marco or Punta Gorda or .....Beaches to pull up on by boat as well. If you like to boat you'll like the area.

No not a houseboat, a house on the river with a dock?

We love to boat and love the water. Are there lots of beaches and islands to go to by boat? How hard is it navigating down there? If we go I am trying to decide if I want to bring the Pantera or just use the boat at the house which is probably what we will do if we get to go.

I wouldn't call it hard, more that you need to know the markers and pay attention to them, I would suggest you get a map from West Marine before you go out on the boat and check it out, watch you're depth finder and use the markers, stay in the channels and you'll be OK, especially when puling up to the beaches, it gets shallow and if you've only fresh water boated don't forget about the tides, if you beach on a high tide and you stay for 4-5 hours you might have a hard time getting off, I've seen several boats get stuck on Ft. Myers Beach that way.

I think the map will explain a lot they are really helpful, maybe try and even get one before you go, good luck.
