I finally retired, and going with wife on a business trip to Coral Gables the week of Feb. 24, do anything to get out of the New Jersey cold weather. Looking for places to see & things to do during the day to occupy my time. Boating & non boating related.

I was down there for work a few years back. I was in the "business district" I guess, but I enjoyed my week there. Your not on the Miami strip so that's a plus or minus depending on what your looking. Your not that far away either, if you wanted to go check it out. We befriended a cab driver who recommended places for us to go. Gave us his cell #, so we only used him. Took us out to the everglades for airboat ride. Gave us great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Look into a place called coconut grove.

Tnt marine on 135st and biscayne boulevard, cigarette racing opa locka, fla. Check out grove harbor marina and montys restuarant in cocnut grove. Hope over to south beach joes stone crabs and mangoes on ocean drive if you come down a week early you have the 4 day miami international boat show! Or you could always take the boat over to bimni for the day out of port of miami or head down to key west for cocktails and sunsets outside of that its pretty boring round here
