I just bought my first real powerboat. My last boat was a sailboat and we kept it at dinner key in the water. Keeping the bottom clean and the corrosion and rust at bay were a 2nd job. The idea with getting a trailer able power boat was to keep it at the house, I fell in love with the formula 242 and wound up with a package that is 18 inches to long to fit my yard. Now I'm looking for options, ideally I would like to be as close to coconut grove as possible. So how bad is it to keep this thing in the water, what about on the Miami river? How does rack storage work, do I have to pay to have it put in/out everytime. What about a self storage there are a few with 10x30 units. Any other ideas? I think my best option would be a lift behind someones house but I haven't had much luck finding that.
