Wanted to know if there are any new developments in central Fl. I’m look to buy / live and possible rent a property hopefully with water access.
im in really no rush but if something is available will make the move.
I came across a development called, Shores at Tranquility. I dont know much about it yet but would like to know what areas to target.
looks like it is close to the Cape so not sure how loud this would be with the launching etc. but would be pretty cool to watch.
I may even consider the west coast too, but east side is first choice
thx in advance for your feedback

That is my back door. Didn't know about that development but a few things. Titusville was hit hard for years but has been building up with all the new space programs in town. I would bet the longer you wait the more you will spend. Yes you are close to the cape and the launches make some noise, there are a lot of them and will be more but I find them to be pretty cool. Really though the noise is just the low freq and it doesn't last long, there are times we do not even wake up anymore.
As for the water we do not have any inlets from Pounce all the way to Sebastian, so the water is NOT blue and kind of dirty. You may have heard all the news about the poor manatee's. There are very few manatee zones going down the IWC from there, going north is brutal there are so many idle zones. We have done it twice and just will not again. For you from there if you want to fish and go out into the Atlantic you would have to go all they way through the Barge canal, the lock and the port. All idle zone.
We are lucky I only have to deal with it through the port. Anything else you want to know?
BTW,,,, this area will be a bit of a cultural shock compared to south FL.

Depends on what you are looking for, if water try near Sebastien. Closer to the inlet.
If you like this area and do not mind being off water Vera is growing like a weed with nice homes, condo's and golf courses.

We lived in Sebastian for 8 yrs and love it.
The water in the intracoastal looks like coffee but is full of uninhabited islands for camping, playing etc.
Is on of few Fla towns actually on water that is not private.
An issue for real estate there is lack of inventory.
Theres not a lot of one water houses vs shoppers.
This was 6 or 7 yrs ago but was starting to get busy.
Still slow enough that after snow bird season ended, we all loved living there.
As to Vero, lived there our last yr and hated it.
Too much traffic, too many snow birds.
Friends still live there and also hate it.
There are two small, waterfront, deep water (which is rare) developments on US 1 between Vero and Sebastian that we loved but nothing for sake at time.
BTW, when we lived there, our favorite Sunday drive was up A1A to the Cape w/the top down.

The only reason I was thinking Vero was because he is from S Florida, nothing up here will be busy compared to that! LOL. But just as many love it that hate it, all depends on what you like I mean look at how the villages are growing and you would have to shoot me in the head to live there.
Homes on the water since you left have went crazy, by me total gut and remodels are 500K and up. Anything decent is 700- 1.5 min, if you go beach side add another 200-300K.
One big issue we have is marinas and rack storage is slim. One of the nicest in the port was just taken over by the port, I bet they get rid of it for another Cruise ship.

Thanks for the feedback on all this.
I wanted to get into a property now so that I move up in 15 - 20 years and possibly retire. Not looking for the same hustle and bustle that I am in now.
We have always liked the west coast and central FL. Miami is nice for us now but with age, your priorities and interests change. Just planning for the future, and seeing if I can reap the benefits too.
