Good write up on the boat in Power Boat. The photo shoot was done long before the second owner rolled the boat. I was also surprised at the speed in the Mag. I heard that boat ran 112 as a best. That was the boat that Jay took us on or demo in, was a very nice boat. I would like to see Hot Boat or Power boat do a write up on a 05 with the new interior and a windscreen and see what they say.

She was pretty. A lot of hard work went into building her. When I called Steve(new owner) with the good news (cover shot) he was quiet for a couple of seconds then sighed and told me about the accident.

I wont go through the usual diatraub on Saftey..no fukit I will

1) Never trim your cat out in an open bay.
2) cat's dont need to be trimmed out
3) leave the trim alone and watch the water
4) wear you f$#@!n life presever

The Judge ran 109 at it's fastest , needed through hull p-ups for more speed.

Testing was in sarasota When I owned her, with 100 gallons of fuel and two big guys.

Watch the water is KEY.......Especially know your surroundings, Big yachts, freighters, cruise ships anything thats going to alter the water your in now or 3 miles in front of you. Trim is good when the the water is very choppy, otherwise stay in your safe zone(red tape) and it will deliver the mail.

is the 30 with outboards a flighty boat, or just wasnt being run correctly ? i'm going to look at 1 today, a 98 with 2003 300x's. i've only been in an I/O 30 footer never been in an outboard boat.

It can be if your running trimed out. I keep mine around where the tape on the drives are and she's good to go. All cats can be flighty if not trimed properly. You'll luv them once you are accustomed to the boat. Take small steps in the begining and keep bumping your speed up a little at a time. Get to know it and its a blast. You wouldn't jump on a Ducati and just crack the throttle right from the get go.

Jay always told me the 30 will tell you when things are starting to go bad. In the bigger cats you dont know untill its to late.

Speed,

Thats the truth!

Berns, the 30 spectre is a fantastic machine you wont be disappointed. They are very well built and real value for your dollar. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one

The boat was not being run apropriatly for conditions.

Very well said. I love my 30' Spectre. I haven't had much seat time in it to run it real hard, but for what I have driven the boat it is the most fun I have had driving a boat. And a great value for the dollar.

Max if you get time send me a couple of pics of your new ride [email protected] Thanks Marc.
