Sorry to see you sell your boat, it is a nice looking 30'. It is sad when the insurance has risen to such a bull**** high level for us cat guys. The insurance is the only thing keeping me from selling my 30' and ordering a 32'. I allready know what I want for power, paint and interior but I am not going to spend 8k or better on insurance a year! It's bull****, and I wish something would change about it.

No, dont want to sink my equity into a boat...There not exactly a sound investment. I like to keep that option for emergencys. Besides an attorney once told me those waivers or releases are a piece of cake to discredit.

I agree with you 100% on the equity.
When I had my Active Thunder with loud pipes, my attorney told me there is an assumed liability by anyone that stepped foot on the boat. It was very obvious to even the ignorant that this was not a fishing boat. I guess there are several ways to argue the point, thats what makes the attorney rich.
Lets hope that known of us ever have to make the argument.
No insurance, no boat for me.
